Advanced registration features in Beyond mean that you can gather useful pre qualified prospect lists from your website. Many people measure success of their site by the amount of ‘hits’ the site gets. This is important, but not particularly useful if you don’t know who these people are and cannot communicate with them.
Beyond lets you add a registration part or a contact us part in as many places as you like. Once a user has registered the information is safely stored in your database and can be reviewed later. You can move a registered person into another group and allow them access to other parts of the system; you can email them directly or even export the data to another office system. The Insight Engine allows you to easily browse through all the people in your database.
When a person chooses to register, a process begins.
- The workflow automatically sends the person an email and thanks them for registering.
- This email also contains their new account information, ie. a logon and password to the system.
- If you have created some content on your site that can only be seen by registered users, then your newly registered user can now see that content when they logon.
- Every user known to the system also has a ‘My Profile’ created for them, and they can add more information and upload their photograph if they wish.
The 'My Profile' of each user becomes a delivery method for personalised content. Other engines can deliver messages, files and content to users via their own 'My Profile' area.
