Leading dental supplies company Dentsply is the largest dental manufacturer in the world and supplies its products in over 100 countries across the globe. Dentsply provides a wide range of products and consumables, and is committed to innovation and high quality.
Dentsply wanted to improve the company’s existing UK website to better serve their dealers and end user customers. For such a dynamic company, with regular new product launches and updates, the site was too static. Modifications were taking too long to upload, while individual departments were keen to be able to manage their own areas of the site.
The new website should act as a shop window and a showcase for offers and new products, while directing customers to the relevant local dealer for their area.
Dentsply approached a number of organisations and after a detailed selection process turned to PSU Software for help. Dentsply knew they wanted to enable online ordering, to have the ability to change the content of the site in-house, and to be able to monitor and react to site use in a dynamic way.
PSU Software’s recommendation was to deploy Beyond Content Management, which would enable key Dentsply staff to have access to, and update the website themselves. “PSU Software put in a lot of effort, we were impressed by their presentation and they came back to us with a concept that we could understand,” says Chris Nutting, Dentsply Marketing Executive.
Dentsply had a very tight schedule for implementation of the solution and PSU Software needed to specifically tailor the process to meet the two week plan. “Despite the short timescale, PSU Software’s proposal was still better than anything else we had looked at, and they also tailored Dentsply’s staff training programme to hit the deadline, without compromising on quality,” says Chris.
“The training sessions were excellent, and PSU Software’s support team are always available to answer ongoing questions over the phone, which has been very helpful,” confirms Chris.
The Dentsply team now have control over their website, and are able to modify the content and appearance quickly and efficiently.
